Do IE and Mozilla, conflict, should one or the other be removed ?

yes
It is designed for Windows Vista, however, it works perfectly with Windows XP Home

Microsoft should automatically download the best version for your computer from Windows Update or the Microsoft Website, if you have a valid copy of Windows XP
yeah it works perfectly with no problem on windows xp both home premium and professional.

u can get IE7 from www.download.com.

IE7 is much better in secuirty than the old one.
I installed IE 7 on my windows XP home version when I first saw the message for it on Yahoo homepage %26amp; I've never had a problem with it. I love the multiple tabs.
IE7 is compatible with win xp home edition. But basically, you nedd to have the service pack 2 installed on your comp. If you have installed sp2, you can install IE7. But if you havent upgraded your xp to sp2, you need to download and install sp2.

Just check go.microsoft.com for details about service pack 2.

Downloading IE 7 from yahoo page?

i'm downloading internet explorer 7 from the yahoo page..is this a trial download or is the real thing? or will i have to buy a liscence in 14 days? and what are backup files and how do i make them?

Downloading IE 7 from yahoo page?windows movie maker

It's the full version of IE7, there's no trial version. This will probably be a "branded" version of IE7 with changes made by Yahoo.

As for backup files, IE7 makes some system changes, so you may want to be sure you have a good restore point set and saved.

Deleting IE and now a lot of problems?

I stopped using internet explorer a while ago and after that I was being stupid and I deleted it not nowing I can't do that. Now I can't reinstall because it freezes up on installation, my themes and sound card services r always turning off and I have to manually turn them on. My firewall doesn't come on. I can't run a search through my computer because everything on the screen dissapears for a couple of seconds and comes back like nothing happened. I also constantly get "Internet explorer has encountered a problem." Can anyone tell me a way to fix this?

Deleting IE and now a lot of problems?replacement windows

From the add/remove programs menu, click add/remove windows components on the sidebar. Reinstall ie from there. It will most likely ask you for the windows boot disk that came with your computer. Or do a system restore going back before you deleted IE.

If you don't want to use IE, try Mozilla Firefox or Netscape Navigator

Deleting IE and now a lot of problems?windows mail internet explorer

Don't use IE.

Mozilla Firefox is much better
did u completely delete it cause i did that and it keeps coming back and i did it from add and remove programs
download it again from here. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloa...

it will replace any missing files and should hopefully patch things up ;). good luck
if u have the cd with the operating system just incert and click repair this will restore the internet explorer and my advice pls if u are not a tech stop deleting files
If your computer came with another web browser just use that and don't worry about I.E. or go to microsoft's website and try and do a download from a different browser if you have one.
try to use the restore on the accessories then system tools go to restore
backup your data and reinstall windows
IE is built into the operating system so deleing/uninstalling it can cause problems for other programs. It is highly unlikely you can repair it from the 'add/remove programs' option in control panel. Try this:

To repair by scanning for missing or corrupted files

1. From the Start menu, select Run... .

2. In the "Open:" field, enter sfc /scannow .

Note: There is a space between sfc and /scannow .

3. Click OK.

4. You will be prompted to provide the Windows CD. Put your CD in the proper drive and follow the prompts.

5. Reboot the computer when System File Checker complete

If not here is alot more information and methods which may help.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378
Well, I think the best solution would be to get all of your data off the computer by transferring it to CD's or a flash drive, and do a complete re-install of Windows. The reason I say this is that IE is a root component of Windows (to the dismay of many Mozilla and Firefox fans), and by "deleting" it, you probably created several issues that are not solely related to IE. If you could somehow get on the Internet on your machine, I would say to go out to Windows Update, and that might resolve the issue. If you can't however, you may be stuck reinstalling Windows.

Requires IE 4.0 or later. What does this mean?

I see this on the games in yahoo

Requires IE 4.0 or later. What does this mean?ie tab

This means that yahoo recommends that you use Internet Explorer browser version 4.0 or a later version.

To check your version launch internet explorer and click Help menu. Then About Internet explorer and see the version you are using. Version 4.0 is an old version so in my opinion you should already be meeting this requirement.

Requires IE 4.0 or later. What does this mean?windows mobile internet explorer

It requires an Internet Explorer version of 4.0 or later in order to play the game.
IE 4.0= Internet Explorer version 4.0 or later. Update your browser.
IE means Internet explorer, so the games need internet explorer version 4.0 or above to get it running
It means that you have to have Internet Explorer version 4.0 or later on your computer in order to play the game. This really shouldn't be a problem for most people, since the most current version of Internet Explorer is 7.0. If you have 4.0, you're running a very old version.
It means that you have to install Internet Explorer version 4.0 or later on your computer in order to play the game
Literally, it just means that your web browser isn't up-to-date enough for their games. You don't HAVE to install Internet Explorer though, if you haven't already got it! Firefox will work perfectly well, and will continue to do so provided you keep it updated;

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/

If you DO have Internet Explorer, you need to update it to version 4.0 - or something more recent. This should be free, so it won't be a problem. Try this page;

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Searc...

They've got version 7 available! You have to be running a legally owned, genuine version of IE to get it though.

Anyway, if you've got a Mac that won't apply to you, because Microsoft stopped releasing updates for IE for Mac several years ago - now it's useless! In this case, tell your Mac to search for updates, because I run Yahoo games on safari! I also use Firefox for Mac, and have no problems with that either..!
it means the programme requires Internet Explorer version 4.0 or any version that came after (has a higher version number than) 4.0
It means the game requires Internet Explorer 4.0 or a later version. You should be able to update to IE7 at the Yahoo! page
It means it requires Internet Explorer 4.0 or a later version of Internet Explorer.

Uninstalling IE Add Ons?

Hello.

I recently uninstalled a program, and as a parting gift, it placed an add on onto my Internet Explorer. I've disabled the Add On, but I really want it completely removed. All that I've been able to find online is a program to remove the add on which costs 30 bucks. Do I really have to either live with it or shell out money to remove it?? That just doesn't seem right. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I'm not sure I follow your problem, but if you are speaking of clicking on a link and having the new page replace the one you clicked from, that is not a feature in most cases that you can adjust.

The html coding of the link on the "referring" page controls whether it opens up a new browser window or opens it up in the current one.

If it is opening it up in the current one, most of the time all you have to do is click on the [%26lt;BACK] button to return to the referring page.

If you're currently experiancing problems with IE then it may be best to try a different browser, there are verious ones to choose from, below is a list of a couple and where to find them.

Firefox - http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

Maxthon - http://www.maxthon.com (Uses IE engine, good if you want to keep the IE look and feel but also have some extra features)

Opera - http://www.opera.com

All three browsers are very popular, there's nothing stopping you from trying them all (I certainly have). find one you like and enjoy.

By the way, you cannot uninstall IE because it is integrated into your

MS software, and that is a fact. If you really want to try and fix it, go to MS.com and see if you can get some tech support. Also you may want to debug your system as there is something in there that doesn't like IE7 and getting rid of your bug should clear up the problem.

the reason for so many reboots is when you add something new, it helps to reboot to get the system used to it.

Also, afterwards, working or not, run a virus scan, and adware scan.

I recommend

You will not get that animation directly, even if you look for it you wont find it!

However some programs can make those kinds of animations in less than 2 seconds. It is generally known as 'flag'

One such program is cool edit from unlead.

However if you really wish to have only that animation you should try the registry .

The location is

(I think it is here)

You can modify it if you like.

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

My IE is currupt. how can i repair without re-installing xp?

First I ask which Explorer are you using? 6 or 7?

Go to tools when IE is open. Go to bottom and click Internet options.

Here you are going to delete temporary internet files, cookies and browsing history.

In IE 6 click the box to delete all off line files as well. Hit delete.

In IE 7 hit delete Temp files and let finish. Then hit the settings button next to delete. When that opens hit the 'view objects' button. Delete all files in that file.

Next hit delete cookies.

Next hit delete browsing history.

Next hit OK.

Then exit IE.

Next restart computer and open in safe boot.

Next hit start button and open 'run'.

Type in %temp%, click OK.

Delete all files in that folder or as many as you can.

Sometimes ActiveX gets corrupted and that needs removed.

Again click the start button.

Open search.

When search opens type in the files and folder dialog box:

ocpuc.dll

Search the C: drive.

When search is complete delete all files found or as many as you can.

Restart computer.

Next hold down in this order one at a time to open the task manager: cntrl-alt-delete.

Then click the processes tab.

Look to see what if anything is using the CPU. There should nothing other than the System Idle Process showing using the CPU. If there is see if you can identify it and if it know leave it, if not stop it's process.

Next hit the 'performance tab'.

This will show the actual usage of your CPU. It should be O unless you are having the computer do something. It will register even if you move your mouse or minimize. Then it should return to O.

Next again hit the start button.

Go to Control Panel, hit the 'free up space on your disk' line. Run Disk Check and clean it out.

Next back to the control panel hit the 'rearrange items on your hard to drive' line. HIt the analyze button. This is the disk defragmenter. When results are in, defrag. IT will tell you if this is needed.

Restart computer. IT should be cleaned out unless a virous is at work in there.

the best thing you can do is to download mozilla firefox. IE is very poor web browser, but you need it, so don't uninstall it. Either way, i'd recommend you to use both, and you'll see how superior firefox is.
Buy a MAC.

Make sure that u r logged in as the Administrator, and try again changing the home page again.

Printing IE script error, incompatible version of theRPCstub,URLres://C:\windows...

This error appears each time I try to use my printer

Printing IE script error, incompatible version of theRPCstub,URLres://C:\windows...windows live

This error is caused by an incompatible version of a DLL that was installed on the system, such as Oleaut32.dll, Olepro32.dll, Asycfilt.dll, or Stdole2.tlb. For example, version 3.50 of Oleaut32.dll is installed and used only by Windows XP, and so causes this error if it is installed on a machine running any other operating system.

Fix

Following are three possible resolutions for this error. Choose the appropriate method for your computer.

Microsoft Office 2000 or an Office 2000 Component IS Installed on Your Computer

If you have Microsoft Office or an Office 2000 component installed, install the Office 2000 Service Release 1. You can use this solution for any operating system.

For information on what an Office 2000 Component is, refer to the Related Topics section of this article.

Microsoft Office 2000 or an Office 2000 Component IS NOT Installed on Your Computer

If you do not have Office 2000 or an Office 2000 component installed on your computer, download and install the mcrepair.exe tool. When it prompts you to overwrite newer files, make sure you click YES for each file. You can use this solution for any operating system.

You Are Using Windows 98 or 95

On Windows 98 and 95, this error may be caused by a bad version of oleaut32.dll. To correct this problem, follow these directions to remove the old file and reinstall it.

Warning: This resolution requires you to modify your System folder. Modifications to the Windows system, if not done correctly, can cause serious problems to your system.

1. Download to your Desktop, but do not run, the Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) file appropriate for your system.

* Windows 98: dcom98.exe

* Windows 95: dcom95.exe

2. Select Start %26gt; Shutdown.

3. Select Restart in MS-DOS mode.

4. At the command prompt c:\WINDOWS, enter the following commands on separate lines as shown. Windows automatically restarts.

CD c:\windows\system

rename oleaut32.dll oleaut32.old

exit

5. Ignore the error message: "A required .DLL file, C:\windows\system\oleaut32.dll, was not found." This error message appears because the file was renamed in step 4.

6. Log in as you normally would.

7. Double-click the file you downloaded to your Desktop in step 1. Click Yes to the dialog that opens. The dcom.exe file installs a new oleaut32.dll file.

8. After DCOM has been installed, select Start %26gt; Restart.

If your computer fails to function properly after following the above instructions, you can restore your original oleaut32.dll file by doing the following:

1. Select Start %26gt; Shutdown.

2. Select Restart in MS-DOS mode.

3. At the command prompt c:\WINDOWS, enter the following commands on separate lines as shown. This restores the old oleaut32.dll file.

CD c:\windows\system

rename oleaut32.old oleaut32.dll

exit

4. Windows automatically restarts. If it does not, select Start %26gt; Restart.

Try holding the CTRL key and rolling the wheel on your mouse backwards (towards you).

My IE all of a sudden got really small font I can barelly read it and see anything. Anyone knows how to adjustie tab internet explorer

If your mouse has a wheel, hold down the CTRL key on the keyboard and move the wheel, that will change your font size. Kind of like zooming in and out.
view, text size, medium usually works
Go to View -%26gt; Text Size. Change it according to your preferences.
in ie menu set view-%26gt; text size -%26gt; largest

I think that's one of those things we just don't need to know. That's way out there in space so might as well sit down, hit your peace pipe, and keep looking up at the sky.

then double click where you see 'Hacked by Moozilla' in the right hand side window pane then just delete it or replace it with 'riksater is a mega hacker' :) Or whatever you like.

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.
